2026 Creative District Nebraska Poster Series
We are excited to share that the 2026 posters from the Creative Districts of Nebraska Series are completed and ready for purchase. This year’s Creative District posters highlight the Creative Districts of:
- Alliance, artist: Bailey Johnson
- Dundee, artist: Drew Davies
- Grand Island, artist: JC Hochstetler
- Kearney, artist: Bobbi Dickerson
The two At-large posters, not directly tied to a Creative District were created by Jennifer Homan and Karen Kunc.
In 2024, Flatwater Free Press and the Nebraska Arts Council collaborated on the Creative Districts of Nebraska Series, a poster project celebrating the energy and character of the state’s official certified Creative Districts.
Artists were selected from highlighted districts to create an original artwork that celebrates the distinct cultural identities that make their communities truly special. In 2025, the project expanded to include two At-large Artists that created an image of Nebraska not directly tied to a Creative District.

- Columbus, artist: Yara Ramos Hernandez
- Lincoln, artist: Adria Chilcote
2025 posters:
- Chadron, artist: Travis Hencey
- Omaha, artist: Watie White
- Norfolk, artist: Michael Lynch
- Two At-large posters by Reyna Hernandez and Sarah Rowe.
The completed artworks were made into high quality, 12”x18” posters available for purchase in each corresponding community for $20 or as a gift for monthly donors to Flatwater Free Press. The at large posters by are available for purchase in person at the Nebraska Arts Council offices, located at 1004 Farnam St in Omaha, for a suggested donation of $20.
